Ok ladies, I have a question for you. Lets say that you were to break up with a guy that you really loved and had been together with for at least a year or so, and then say four months later or so you guys start talking and you see that he has made a lot of changes for himself and it turns out that he really wants the same things in a relationship that you do. I’ve been having Mutual of Omaha short term though my job for 2 years and I’ve been on Maternity leave since March 30th. How long after you turn in your completly filled short term claim forms do you hear something or recieve a payment from Mutual of Omaha?

help understanding if cancer policy makes sense?

I have received from AAA an opportunity to purchase Mutual of Omaha Cancer policy. This policy charges $4.95 per month premium.

I understand that this policy is for cancer only and has a maximum limit of $250K. It lists specific things it will pay for and granted the amount allowed is low.

I currently have an individual health insurance policy with Golden Rule with 7 million lifetime limits since last December. But I have a $5K deductible and 70/30 coinsurance on this policy to keep my premiums low.

According to this brochure, they state they will pay for co-pays and deductibles for cancer only, even if you currently have insurance.

Cancer is one of the things I fear the most since both of my parents died from cancer and I am also aware that chemotherapy/radiation and/or surgery can be astronomical expensive.

With my high deductible and coinsurance, if i were to get cancer, then maybe 25% might be reimbursed leaving me with less owed until my policy with Golden Rule picks up.

Has anyone had this policy and have they had any problems with Mutual of Omaha and/or their own insurance policy.

oprah winfrey has told mutual of omaha they can’t use the slogan “official sponsor of the aha moment” because oprah’s catch phrase is “the aha! moment”.

except here’s the thing i’ve been using the phrase “had an aha moment” instead of “had a bright idea” since i was a little kid. it’s a common phrase where i grew up and mutual of omaha is a nebraska company.

oprah didn’t come up with “the aha moment” and even though she trademarked “the aha! moment” she’s never enforced it. thus can she really stop one of nebraska’s most respected companies from using a phrase that was a part of the state’s culture before oprah started using it?

By “sexual tension“, I mean there’s some sort of provocativeness in our friendship that certainly seems to make us a little more than friends. We’re not even close friends, more like acquaintances. Even though I don’t agree with this myself, I know there are some people out there who feel that it’s impossible for men and women (who are close in age) to be platonic friends, that there will always be some sort of sexual tension between them (like in the movie “When Harry Met Sally”).

For those who do believe this idea, would it mean that two gay men or two lesbians can never just be friends as well?

How to get rid of sexual tension?

Okay, well, there’s some extreme sexual tension going on between me and another woman. The problem is that – 1) she’s married & 2) her daughter is one of my best friends. Her daughter and I have a somewhat complicated relationship. Our relationship and love for each other is somewhere between that of a ‘friend’ and a ‘lover’. We’re extremely close and we’ve shared a *brief* intimate relationship.

The mother is also married and I have a rule, I don’t cheat on or with anyone. Besides, even if her husband was okay with it, I just couldn’t do that to her daughter. I mean, she’s my best friend and I love her. I’ve tried to avoid her but I can’t do that forever. I like this woman, (as a friend). She’s become a mentor for me in some ways.

I can’t deny that I’m attracted to her her physically and in that sense, I want her, but I don’t want to want her. If that makes sense? I want to keep her as a friend but this tension is starting to really get to me. My other best friend is a life saver. He understands me like no one else and he’s been more than willing to help me out sexually when the tension starts to get to me. But this will only work for so long. Is there any way that I can get rid of the tension?
